Corndogs

There is nothing as delicious as corndogs! They go well with any meal and even on there own as a snack. This my corndog recipe!

Corndogs

Ingredients:

1 Cup Maizena

1 Cup Flour

1/4 Cup White Sugar

1 and a 1/2 Tablespoons Baking Powder

1 egg

1 Cup Milk

Pinch of Salt and Pepper

8 Wooden Sosatie Sticks

8 Classical Russians

Method:

In a mixing bowl add the maizena, flour, baking powder, white sugar and salt and pepper.

Mix in the egg and milk into the dry ingredients, till a smooth mixture form and there are no lumps.

In a big pot add the sunflower oil till almost full.

Put on full heat and let it heat up.

If the oil is hot, dip the russians into the batter till covered thickly, and fry in the oil for three minutes, till golden brown.

Place on a kitchen cloth for the oil to drip off.

Serve with mustard, honey may also be added.

• Just add more milk if the dough is still too thick. Must be runny but not like milk. Sausages must be dried with kitchen towl when wet, then the dough will stick on the sausage properly.
