This recipe I got from my mother in law. It’s a really simple and easy recipe, the source of the recipe comes from Foodloversrecipes. I added the custard to it and the oreo base, tastes yum!
1 Tin Condensmilk
1/2 Cup Castor Sugar
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
1 Cup of Custard
2 Packets of Oreo Biscuits
For the base:
Mix the butter or margarine with the crushed oreo biscuits and press down in a greased round tart pan.
Heat oven to 160 Degrees Celsius.
Separate egg yolks and egg whites into two seperate bowls.
Whisk the egg whites until stiff Must turn bowl upside down so that it doesn’t fall out.
Add the castor sugar slowly and continue whisking,until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Mix egg yolks and add the tin of condensed milk, and add 1 cup of custard.
Add the lemon juice and beat for one minute until the mixture start to set.
Add the egg mixture to the pie base and add the meringue on top and spread evenly.
Bake for 25minutes in the oven.
Cool pie down on oven rack.
Refrigerate pie and enjoy!
