Creamed Spinach

I love home made creamed spinach. This is the perfect side to any dish. My own recipe.

In a pot add in some olive oil. Add in one chopped onion and fry till brown and soft for about 10 minutes.

Add in 100g of freshly chopped spinach. Add in a little water and close the lid.

Let it cook for a few minutes till spinach has wilted.

Mix with onion and add in about 1 cup of milk.

Let the milk get warm till boiling on high heat, then turn it down to simmer and add in 1-2 tablespoons of cornflour mixed with some water. The consistency should be like sauce and thick, you can some more cornflour if it’s still too runny or add some more milk if it’s too thick.

Add in 30g of grated cheese and add in fine pepper.

Serve with some meat and rice and enjoy!
