I made this biscuit recipe while we were in lockdown, as you have read in the news we are back in lockdown. This is a sugar biscuit recipe, with a twist. I would add just 1 tablespoon of golden syrup, than 2 like in my recipe.
It’s quick and a really simple and easy recipe to follow.
Ingredients:
200g Unsalted Butter (at room temperature)
2 Cups of White Sugar
3 Cups of Flour
10ml Baking Powder
2 Eggs
40ml Golden Syrup
10ml Vanilla Paste
Pinch of Salt
Method:
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
Add in the eggs and mix till well incoporated.
Add in the golden syrup and mix well.
Sift the dry ingredients, and add to the mixture.
If the dough is too dry just add a little bit of water, if it i too wet just add a little bit of flour.
Roll out biscuit dough onto a floured service and press out biscuit shapes using cookie cutters.
Bake on baking trays in the oven on 180 degrees celsius for 10 till 15 minutes till biscuits is golden and crispy brown.
Place on the cooling rack, to cooldwon and enjoy.
If the biscuits is still warm when placing them on the baking tray, don’t worry too much, it will get crispy when cooled down.
