My husband made this dinner for us, it was very delicious, easy and a quick family dinner without any utensils needed.
Our toddlers didn’t really understand it, but they enjoy eating it with us.
For the steak marinade:
You will need about 2 steaks, which is about 800g of steak.
Marinade the steak in a ziplock bag, by adding the following ingredients:
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
30ml Lemon Juice
1 Tbs Cumin Powder
1 Tbs Paprika Powder
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tsp Chilli Powder
1 Tsp Salt
Marinade in the fridge for a few hours, before frying, remove from the fridge about one hour till the steaks have reached room temperature. It fries better when at room temperature.
Cut up into slices and let it rest for a few minutes.
Place one tortilla or wrap onto the bottom of a round oven safe bowl. Place another circle bowl on top and place into the oven for 15 minutes till golden and when it is in the shape of a tortilla bowl.
In a pot on the stove, fry one onion till golden, add in 500ml of milk and let the milk simmer. Add in 500g of grated cheese and 1 tablespoon of chilli relish. Mix well till well combined. Add in 2 tablespoons of cornflour mixed with 2 tablespoons of water. Place the tortilla bowl onto a serving dish. Pour the cheese sauce into the tortilla bowl till it is 3/4 filled.
Add in the steak strips, 1 avocado cut up into blocks, 1 tomato chopped and 1 serving of greek yogurt mixed with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
Place nacho chips around the bowl.
What we found works best, is a wrap or tortillas cut up into triangles and then dipped and served with the cheese dip and the steak and other fillings. It’s a great party dish as well as when you have friends over.
