I know we all love melkkos… Melkkos is my favourite.. So I decided to turn it into my second favourite dish milk tart. Yes you read that right 😊
My own recipe.
You can make the melkkos recipe that is on my blog if you’d like or use your own:
For the base
Crush 300g vanilla biscuits
Add in 100g melted butter and mix with a fork to incorporate.
Press down into a rectangular glass dish and place into the fridge to set.
To any left over melk kos mixture add in
1 L of Milk after heating it up in a bowl.
Incorporate the milk into the melkkos mixture and add in 4 eggs mixed together with 2 Tbs of Custard Powder and add 1 can of condensed milk. Place in the microwave and heat for 5 – 10 to 15 minutes, mixing every 3 minute intervals.
Place on a cookie base and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar over.
Place in a preheated oven on 180 degrees celsius for 20 – 25 minutes.
Place on a wire rack to cool down and place into the fridge. Let it set in the fridge for 2 – 3 hours or overnight.
Serve and enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.
