Our Mount Maunganui Holiday – Day 1

It has been 17 days since my last blog post and there is a very good reason for that. We went on holiday, the first time in 2 years since the Covid19 Pandemic began. It was wonderful to fall asleep with the sea sound in the background the sun and walks on the beach. The first time we have been to Mount Maunganui since the first time moving to New Zealand almost 5 years ago. The kids enjoyed it so much that they did not even wanted to come home, and wanted to stay in the holiday house. It was fun and very special spending time together as a family and seeing how much our kids enjoyed it, and we catching a break from the hustling and bustling of every day life.

We stayed at the fabulous Oceans Eleven apartment, where there is a warm pool, restaurants nearby and a few meters from the beach. We had balconies on both sides and double story. It is open plan and the sleeping quarters and living quarters were separate. The living areas like the kitchen, dining and lounge were on the top floor and the beds and bathrooms, washing area was on the first floor. There was television in all the rooms including in the lounge area.

It truly felt like our home away from home. The furniture and cozy spaces and areas made it feel like a real home and warm and fuzzy where we can relax and just be. We booked our holiday stay using Bookings.com.
